Function

JOWA Safe Water filters the existing water onboard to 100% pure drinking water guaranteed free from viruses and bacteria.

The system uses ultrafiltration technology as a “biological barrier” meaning that viruses, bacteria and particles simply cannot pass the filter. Only safe and clean drinking water can pass. Installing JOWA Safe Water onboard ensures that your crew’s water supply is safe and clean and in compliance with WHO standards.

JOWA Safe Water comes with 0,5l metal bottles for each crew member. Designed for a tough environment with non-spill sport cap. Made from top quality stainless steel, BPA (bisphenol A) and toxin free. The unit is connected directly to the potable water cold water line at the most convenient location onboard. It is a small unit designed to occupy small footprint (W500 x D255  x H1055mm) and be easy to install with minimum of work.

Main filter unit can feed up to four water fountains. The water fountains can be installed on different decks!

Eliminate plastic bottles

Plastic waste in the ocean is in focus now as micro-plastics enter even our food. Plastic bottles are expensive, occupy space on board and create a headache when they are to be disposed of. A crew of 15 can consume 10,000 1,5l plastic bottles per year!  Single use plastics are being phased out /banned by authorities. JOWA Safe Water unit eliminates the need for plastic water bottles onboard. The savings from not purchasing plastic bottles mean JOWA Safe Water investment can be returned within 12-18 months.
